Years ago a friend called me a frustrated perfectionist, a description that suits me perfectly: I set a very high standard for myself, but always seem to fall flat on my face. Perfection is a great goal; in fact it’s a command. Matthew 5:28 says, “Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.” The problem is that perfection is impossible to attain, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). Fortunately for me, II Samuel 22:33 tells me that, “It is God who arms me with strength and makes my ways perfect.” What a relief it is to know that I don’t have to do it all on my own!
totally love the name of this blog – it does suit you! But you don’t always fall flat on your face – there is success!
