Viho is the chief of the tribe. Esscie has been married to him for twenty one years, and it gets better every day.
Esscie is the Frustrated Perfectionist. She is the tribal matriarch and helpmate to the chief.
Huritt, the eldest, attends the state university, where he majors in political science and history. His name is Native American for handsome.
Tocho, the second born, attends a technical high school, studying automotive technology. He is fascinated by science, especially if it involves “things that go boom.” He is a type 1 diabetic. His name means mountain lion.
Kateri, whose name means pure, is our only girl. She tends to be a lot like her mother, only a lot more quirky and fun.
Kuruk, the bear, when left alone with a blank piece of paper will inevitably construct origami or draw; it doesn’t matter which. He is very creative and talented and shares the challenges of a life with diabetes.
Honani loves wildlife in any form. His first love is zebras but any creature will do. Note the word “creature,” since insects, reptiles, rodents, and fish share his affections equally. His name means badger.
Esscie, when I read your description of Tocho, I immediately thought of the book “Backyard Ballistics”. Have you ever seen this?
I’ve seen this before, but just took another look. Tocho would go nuts. I’m thinking Christmas!
We were looking at dogs tonight. The puppies are really cute, but we need to wait for a little while.
I read Kuruk’s essay on Goober again. He was a good dog! I hope there is a doggie heaven….
